When your vehicle requires body repair after a collision the Criswell Collision Center is fully equipped to return your vehicle to a like-new condition, with our repair specialists taking pride in completing your vehicle back to pre accident condition in a timely manor getting you back on the road as soon as possible.

Notify the police immediately and contact Criswell Automotive at 301-948-0880.

What to Do:
- If there are injuries call 911 immediately to get help.
- If there are no injuries, move your vehicle to the shoulder.
- Turn your engine off and turn your emergency flashers on.
- Exchange names, addresses, phone numbers with the other drivers.
- Exchange insurance information.
- Take photos (if possible) of the damaged vehicles and the scene.
- If there are any witnesses, obtain their names and phone numbers.
- Notify your insurance company within 24 hours.
What Not to Do:
- Do NOT move anyone who is injured unless it is absolutely necessary.
- Do NOT discuss fault, circumstances or responsibility of the accident at the scene.
- Do NOT the drive vehicle unless it seems to be safe.
- Do NOT sign any releases with tow companies or insurance companies with out reading and understanding fully.
- Do NOT accept a check or cash for repairs to your automobile until you are sure it covers all necessary repairs needed to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition.
Your Rights in an Accident
- You have the right to have your car repaired by the shop of your choice. By law, you are not required to have your car repaired in an insurance company recommended collision repair facility.
- You are not required to get more than one estimate.
- The collision repair facility is not allowed to negotiate with your insurance company on your behalf with out your permission.
- You have the right to have factory original parts installed on your vehicle with out paying any betterment - check your policy for details.
- The insurance company has a limited number of days to inspect and provide an estimate after proper notification of an accident.
- If additional damage is found after dismantling the vehicle, the insurance company has the right to re-inspect the damage but must respond within a reasonable amount of time.
- As a third party claimant, you have the right to have the insurance company provide and pay for a rental car until the collision repairs have been completed on your vehicle.
- Differences in collision repair estimates are common, so ask one of our staff to explain the method of repairs to be done on your vehicle.
